Sam Polakoff

Sam Polakoff

President & CEO

Sam Polakoff is the President, CEO and third-generation owner of Nexterus Inc. Since his start in 1975, Sam has played an integral role in transforming Nexterus into a supply chain engineering and technology firm helping small and mid-sized companies to strategically position themselves for growth. During his tenure with Nexterus, Sam has expanded the company's service portfolio by launching the following divisions: Information Technology, Sales & Marketing, International Transportation Management, Freight Payment and Supply Chain Services. Sam has spoken and conducted workshops around the country. He has been a guest lecturer at many area colleges including York College, Salisbury University, Shippensburg University, The University of Baltimore and Towson University. Sam is a former adjunct faculty member at Penn State – York and his alma mater, Towson University. At Towson University, Sam taught "The CEO Simulation, a course he designed for advanced business students aspiring to run a company shortly after graduation. Presently, Sam serves as the chairman for the Advisory Board of Towson University's College of Business & Economics. Sam graduated from Towson University in 1986 with a degree in Marketing.

In his spare time, Sam enjoys writing. He is the author of a children's book entitled, "A Christmas Tale," 100% of the proceeds of which support glaucoma research and education. Sam's debut novel, a sci-fi thriller entitled, "Hiatus," was published in January 2018.


Sean Sabre

Sean Sabre is a recognized expert in the field of supply chain management. As COO, Sean is responsible for managing the day-to-day operation and overseeing Domestic Operations, International Operations, Sourcing/Procurement, Professional Services, Strategic Account Management, and Information Technology. Prior to working with Nexterus, Sean worked in various management roles for ModusLink Global Solutions including the development and management of purchasing and planning corporate shared services. Earlier in his career, Sean worked for the 4PL supply chain services division of Kühne + Nagel (KN Lead Logistics) and held various supply chain management roles within Bosch und Siemens Hausgeräte GmbH and The Hatteras Group. Sean earned a BSBA from East Carolina University, studied at École Supériure de Commerce, Rennes France and IES på Högskölen I Luleå Sweden and served in the 101st light infantry during Operation Desert Storm.

In recent years, he has served as a guest speaker for numerous supply chain conferences, symposiums and summits, has been an advisor to Wal-Mart as a member of its SVN for 4 years as well as a US delegate to the ISO TC122 standards development technical committee. Sean joined Nexterus in 2013.


Scott Reifsnyder

CFO

Scott Reifsnyder is a finance and accounting professional with over 12 years of experience as the Chief Financial Officer for various supply chain, logistics and distribution companies in the mid-Atlantic region. As CFO, Scott is responsible for guiding all financial operations including financial reporting, budgeting and analysis, accounts receivable and payable, payroll and human resources. Prior to working with Nexterus, Scott was the CFO of Cryo-Trans, a fast growing supply chain logistics and transportation provider to many Fortune 500 food manufacturers. Earlier in his career, Scott was the CFO of B. Green & Co., a privately-held distributor with six wholesale and retail locations. Throughout his employment history, Scott has managed various corporate departments including accounting, treasury, HR, IT and property management. His strongest skills lie in creating organization, establishing consistency across financial disciplines, controlling costs, designing and implementing accounting systems, solving problems and strategic planning. Scott earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Washington Adventist University.

Ryan Polakoff

Ryan Polakoff

Vice President, Sales & Marketing

Ryan Polakoff is a supply chain professional with 15 years of experience in sales, supply chain optimization, logistics operations, marketing and project management. Ryan oversees the Corporate Sales and Marketing teams and is the head of Franchise Development. As the fourth-generation of the Polakoff family, Ryan has worked in and around the family business his entire life. His greatest skills, however, lie in sales and marketing management, new business development, lead generation, new product/service development and strategic planning. Ryan studied at Shippensburg University with a primary concentration in Supply Chain Management and a secondary concentration in Marketing. Ryan was also a board member for the University's Logistics Club.

Ryan enjoys public speaking, having guest lectured at several area colleges and is a recurring guest lecturer at Towson University and York College. He is an avid networker and regularly attends business seminars and related events. Ryan is also an active member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP).
